From the Registration Office

Dates you should know:

June 30—Substitutions and cancellations must be IN the Gathering Office BEFORE 4:00 pm on this date. See the Registration Page for more details.

July 1—The Gathering Office will put a final letter in the mail to all PALs. The final mailing will include a list of participants for your group, your registration balance, when and where to go in New Orleans to pick up your wristbands and backpacks. Groups MUST bring this letter with them to the Gathering in order to pick up wristbands and backpacks.

July 2-5—The Gathering Office will be closed for the holiday weekend.

July 16-17—Groups can get their wristbands and backpacks in New Orleans. On-site registration will take place on Friday July 16 from 1pm to 5pm and on Saturday July 17 from 10 am to 6 pm. See more information about the schedule via the Program Life page.  Primary Adult Leaders will need to bring their final letter to New Orleans in order to pick up wristbands and backpacks. Plan on bringing only the adults necessary to carry your backpacks into the on-site registration room; youth will not be allowed to enter the on-site registration room.

July 17—THE GATHERING BEGINS!!!


Servant Events, Shuttles, and Sightseeing

Here are details on other things you might be thinking about as you continue to get excited about the Gathering.
  • Off-Site Servant Events
    • Notification and assignments of off-site servant events will be sent to Primary Adult Leaders at a later date closer to the Gathering.
  • There are two options for shuttle service between the airport and hotel:
    • Airport Shuttle New Orleans
      • Per-person rates for the shuttle are $20 one way and $38 round trip. This company is offering a $5 discount per person (round trip only) if you book online: LCMS National Youth Gathering Discounted Airport Shuttle CLICK HERE.
      • You will need to have your hotel information ready prior to booking so that you can inform your shuttle driver of where you need to go.
    • Taxi Cab (various cab companies)
      • Expect $33 for two passengers, plus tip; $14 per additional passenger. These rates are for a one way trip.
      • Please remember that you may need cash for a taxi ride.
  • Are you staying in New Orleans beyond the dates of the Gathering? There are plenty of sights to see in New Orleans! Here are some sites to get you going.
