Wondering what your Gathering experience will be like? We have some great things in store for you, so take a look at the schedule, speakers, and bands to start planning how you’ll spend your days at WE BELIEVE.
Schedule
To help you get the most out of the Gathering, you’ll experience a different track each day. Ask your Adult Leader which group you are in (A, B, or C) to see what your schedule will look like.
Speakers
Speakers are organized into the three tracks of LOOK, LISTEN, and LIVE. Take a look at each track to see some of the topics and speakers that will be covered at the Gathering.
Bands
The Gathering is a great chance to hear some new bands, and some that you’re probably already familiar with. All the bands will be at the Gathering for all three of the days you’ll experience the tracks, so no matter what track you’re in, you’ll have a chance to check them out!
How Far From Home?
Design a 24” x 12” foam core board (please do not use poster board—foam core board can be found at craft supply stores)
Include on your sign:
1. Congregation Name
2. City
3. State
4. How many miles it is from New Orleans to your congregation.
Each board must have a hole in each corner (4) approximately 1” from the edge
Completed “How Far to Home” boards will be dropped off during Gathering Registration at the “Drop-Off Spot” located in the lobby of the Morial Convention Center.
Please carefully pack your board so it won’t bend for your trip to New Orleans!

5K Enthusiasts
We are impressed by the number of people asking about the (optional) 5K run on Sunday morning. About 1,000 people participated in 2007 and we anticipate having about the same number in 2010!
- Although not required, we ask that you register on-line here.
- Your registration will better help us plan for the event and make registration run smoothly.
- On-line registration will close the evening of July 14.
- We plan to allow for walk-up registrants, however, if pre-event registration numbers rise to a certain level, we may have to close the event to walk-up registrants.
Reminders:
- Come hydrated! Even though it’s early, mornings in New Orleans are still very warm and humid. Please bring your own water bottle.
- Wear appropriate footwear.
- Registration begins at 5:30 a.m. Please arrive at this time to ensure a smooth and timely registration.
- The race will begin promptly at 6:30 a.m. to allow participants to finish the race and return to their hotels to prepare for the day’s events.
- The route will take you around the exterior of the Superdome numerous times. Participants who have early events such as Servant Events, rehearsals, etc., may choose to not complete the entire five kilometers, but rather depart early to prepare for the day.
- The Superdome is about a twenty minute walk to the Morial Convention Center.
