Welcome to the 2010 National LCMS Youth Gathering Website!The National LCMS Youth Gathering strives to provide opportunities for youth and adults to boldly come together in the name of Jesus Christ to proclaim, celebrate, and witness their salvation through Him; rejoice in the fellowship of their church; and be affirmed and nurtured in their lives as God's people through Word and Sacrament. The 2010 Gathering will explore the theme “We Believe” through a variety of unique experiences. “Look” experiences will allow youth to see how God’s gift of faith is a lens through which we view ourselves, our community, and our world. These experiences will also invite participants to see what the church at large is actively doing. Most of all, teens will get to see how they and their peers are already involved in the work of the church. Youth will be able to interact with representatives from mission teams, exhibitors, regional districts, and many more people of faith. “Listen” experiences place youth in groups of 50 to 5,000 where they’ll interact with presenters and hear concerts. Those presenters will break down the themes and help us apply them to our Lutheran faith and our daily lives. “Live” experiences are hands on opportunities for youth to learn by doing. “Live” experiences also include servant event options that will allow for many of you to serve at the Gathering. Through daily Bible study, time with your Family Group, Tuesday night worship with Communion, and morning and evening prayer and praise in Gathering hotels and around the city, you will grow in your understanding of faith and life in Jesus before, during, and after the Gathering. Mass events broadcast the “We Believe” theme through music, videos, Christ-centered presenters, and group participation. On Tuesday night we’re all going to celebrate the Lord’s Supper together as one big family in Christ. Start the online registration process here!! Have you already mailed in your registrations but discovered someone else wants to go with your group? You are able to add them! For instructions, click here. Please note that the Gathering office will not be contacting you to confirm receipt of registration materials in the office.
